 The 2023 China Automobile Charging and Swapping Ecosystem Conference was held in Hangzhou. Tong Zongqi, deputy secretary-general of the Charging and Replacement Branch of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance, said during the meeting that charging infrastructure should also show differentiated development in the future, and the charging station scenarios for private cars should be more detailed. For example, charging piles with different powers have different charging service fees and other differentiated management.

 Tong Zongqi said that in the past two years, new energy charging piles have shown a rapid growth trend. The increase in the first 11 months of this year has far exceeded last year's whole year. It is expected that this year will show a growth rate of 30% to more than 50% compared with last year. In the process of rapid growth, charging infrastructure is increasingly divided into scenarios, such as community charging, destination charging, public charging areas, and rural charging. With the segmentation of charging scenarios, the charging needs, charging technologies, and modes of different models and scenarios are different.

 At present, the pain points for car owners when charging pure electric vehicles include non-interoperable charging platforms, incomplete charging APP functions, and incomplete coverage of cross-city charging platforms; public charging piles have problems such as occupied charging parking spaces and charging pile failures. According to Tong Zongqi, the charging market space is very large, especially the number of new energy vehicles may exceed 20 million by the end of the year. At this time, how to solve the charging problem of cars, especially the charging problem of private cars, is urgent, whether it is the development of cars or piles.
